Tonya has won awards for her creativity in her line dance style and some of her choreography has been showcased and taught in over 27 countries. She has danced and performed on numerous television shows including The Ralph Emery Show, Music City Tonight with Crook & Chase, Danced in over 800 shows of The Wildhorse Saloon that aired to over 63 million homes, TNN’s Country Christmas with Tanya Tucker, TNN’s Club Dance, and WSST-TV Country Television Show.
Tonya has taught and performed in numerous Instructional Videos that were sold Nationwide. A few of those were “Texas Twist” – W/Chubby Checker, “Cowboy Stomp” – W/Barry Amato, “Kick the Dog” – W/Barry Amato and Dancin’ With Tonya. As well as Country Videos and TV Commercials including The Tractors – “Santa Clause Boogie”, Chubby Checker – “Texas Twist”, TEN-NFL Info Commercial, Numerous Wildhorse Saloon Commercial, Patty Lovelace Commercial, Wildhorse Saloon Nationwide Dance Contest Tour Commercial, Wildhorse Commercial Bumpers. Tonya has also appeared on several News Stations about Country Dancing in including NBC News and Morning News. In addition, Tonya has appeared in several Magazines and Newspapers including Country Weekly Magazine, Business Nashville, Single Styles and Florida Grapevine.
Tonya has taught and choreographed for Dance Teams, Camps, Workshops and Dance Clubs including The K-HAAS Dancers from The Wildhorse Saloon Television Show, The Dixie Twisters Country Dance Team, X-treme Dance Force, The South Georgia Mavericks, The Georgia Line Dance Association, Instructor for Torpedoes 2 Dance Club, Whiskey River Dance Club and others throughout Georgia, Florida and Texas.
Tonya has choreographed, taught and performed at countless Parties, Theme parks, Festivals and Conventions throughout the Southeast Coast including President Jimmy Carter’s 82nd Birthday, The International Cherry Blossom Festival, Amelia Island Florida Shrimp Festival, Wild Adventures Theme park, Wildhorse Saloon Disney World, Six Flags Over Georgia, Opryland Hotel and much, much more.
Tonya offers classes for Seniors, Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced Dancers! Classes are held at A Chance To Dance at 68 Queens Ann Road, Wetumpka, Alabama. Dances are taught to New Country, Traditional Country and Non-Country Music.
