Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony is an important part of your overall marketing and advertising plan and is a great way to kick-off a grand opening of a business. It offers an opportunity to meet key leaders in the community and get acquainted with your neighbors, Chamber members and potential customers.

The Wetumpka Area Chamber will assist you in planning a successful ribbon-cutting event for your company. Contact the Chamber at least three weeks prior to the event to allow the Chamber time to market the event, and to invite members of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, the Chamber’s Ambassadors, and dignitaries from our municipalities to join in your celebration. Food and beverages are often served, but it is your decision and your event  can be as simple or elaborate as you like. Chamber staff members and Ambassadors will help to make things go as smoothly as possible by:

  • The Chamber Director serving as Master of Ceremonies to keep the program on schedule and introducing local officials and dignitaries.
  • Inviting the Chamber’s Board of Directors, Ambassadors, and Chief Elected Officials and encourage them to attend your event.
  • Putting you in touch with other Chamber businesses that can provide catering, deli and beverage services, publicity and even invitations
  • Bringing the oversized ribbon cutting scissors and taking pictures at the appointed time
  • Creating an event on social media as well as on the Chamber calendar.
  • Posting FB live from the event.

Ribbon-Cutting events are generally scheduled on Thursdays over the lunch hour to insure maximum attendance and participation.

New Member Breakfast

Quarterly breakfasts occur at local restaurants to bring new members together to meet one another, the Board of Directors, Ambassadors and Chamber leadership. These are casual events that encourage new members to share who they are and what their businesses do.

Chamber Luncheons

Every few months the Chamber hosts a HUGE luncheon with a dynamic motivational speaker.  ALL Chamber members (and any guests they wish to bring) are invited. This event is an opportunity to meet all the business leaders in our area and learn from some of our community’s most inspiring people.

Lunch and Learn Workshops

Workshops are excellent opportunities for our members to learn from other members.  The Chamber schedules experts to come in and speak on a variety of topics that will help our members learn, grow, and prosper in an ever-changing business climate.

Business After-Hours

These events are hosted BY Chamber Members FOR Chamber Members.  This is a wonderful opportunity to bring our community’s business circle directly into your business for an event.  Businesses can host solo or team up with other businesses for the event.  The Chamber will schedule the event, help with marketing and invite everyone associated with the Chamber as well as local officials.

There is no charge for the Chamber’s involvement in these programs— it’s a value-added benefit of being a member.
